Wondering about the speedo adapter. I thought that it was leaking tfluid from that area....when I crawled under the truck I noticed that the spedo cable was finger tight. Is this where the fluid could have been coming from? also while I was under that I decided that I should take a look at the o-ring on the spedo adapter and when I pulled the bolt out t-fluid came pooring out everywhere. Is there suupposed to be tfluid that high up?

If the speedo adapter lies below the fill plug , then yes fluid will come out .

Being finger loose would cause it to leak a little .

Tighten it up , clean it off , top it off with ATF , and go for a drive to be sure .

I think the speedo is higher than the fill plug.... I will investigate tomorrow

The speedo housing is in between the fill plug and drain plug, so you are going to lose fluid if you open it up.
