Hey all. I removed all 4 bolts and simply cannot get this thing loose. Before I get too crazy with a hammer:

Did I get all the bolts? There isn't a forward facing one I can't find?

Is there any trick? I can only think of taping the sides with a mini-sledge until it pops loose.

Thanks!!!

I removed mine when I had to change the speedo drive gear and the damn little housing wouldn't come out.

Get a dead blow hammer or a rubber mallet. It's made of aluminum, you can crack it if you're not careful. It's sealed with RTV (at least it was on mine) so you need to break that seal. You can also pry gently with a pry bar to help it out.

I don't remember if it was only 4 bolts and I'm not at home to check, so make to go over it and confirm.

I'd try working a putty knife in there, possibly with the gentle help of a hammer, to break it free.

Thanks all for the suggestions. I was finally able to get it off using a putty knife and small pry bar. Found my bad bearings, so this wasn't in vain ;-)
