do all np208 have 27 spline input and a 32 spline output i have an 85 k5 with a 208 700r and looking at one from a 88 surb that was behind a 700r will it work? ed /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

Any 208 that was behind a th350 or 700r4 will have the 27 spline input like you need for your 700r4. The 208's that came from behind a th400 will have a 32spline input.

I believe it will, I think the only difference is the width of the adapter since the 700r4 has mor stickout than the th350. If you use your existing adapter it should work.

are u saying that the tail shaft of the th350 sticks out farther than the 7004r4

if that is the case would a 700r4 from a 2wd suburban mate up to the 208 (which is removed from the th350) properly (removing speedo drive gear if necessary)

Sorry about that, I had them backwards. The 700r4 has a longer output shaft than the th350.

As far as using the 2wd trans, I really dont know if it would work or not.
