Where is the stock location for the 241 breather. I pulled it out of a 89 burb and have adapted it to my truck. The problem is I dont have plumbing for the vent like the burb did. I was going to make my own but was wondering where I should route it? toward the front dif breather or just under the bed on a bolt like the rear? I put the small hose and breather from the 208 on it but it is spitting out oil like crazy probably due to the oiling system it has that the 208 did not.

If you have fluid spitting out the vent you probably have an overfull t-case.

i thought maybe its overfull. i just rebuilt it and put it in. filled it cold so when it reached temp it would have grown some but i didnt think it would be that overful. even after alot came out. i drove a bit more and it was still doing it. off the breather 90 there is only like a 1" piece of tube with that breather end on it so i figure ill lenghten the hose to the bottom of the cab and see what happenes. at first i thought it was my front axle seal i just replaced when i rebuilt it and got really frustrated cause i finally just got it all back toghter. dont think i would have mustered the energy to take it all back down again for a coulpe weeks if that was the case. good thing i found out it was just the breather.

Did you install the front input shaft seal correctly. If not then tranny fluid will enter the t-case and overfill it for you.

sure hope so. the tranny fluid level seems fine too. I check that first. i was thinking along the lines of the pump in the 241 splashes more oil around so it comes out the tube. hope thats all it is and not the seal. only time will tell i guess
