So Ive searched but cant find an answer to my question partly because of my transmission application since the tcase adapter is integrated into the back half of transmission case.

Im trying to bolt up my passenger drop np241 to my S10.
I have the S10 version of the nv3500 in it now with a 231 case (driver drop). it uses a 5 bolt mounting pattern vs. the np241's 6 bolt pattern.

now I know the np241 has a NON-symmetrical 6 bolt pattern and was combo'd with a nv3500 in the early 90's 1/2 ton IFS trucks but was driver drop.

my question is can i get a 1/2 ton IFS nv3500 and bolt up my passenger drop 241 to it or will the bolt pattern put the tcase is a weird clocked position. (I want to run it as flat as possible to run a full belly skid)

I guess Im merly wondering if its been done before I go and buy the IFS nv3500 and find out it wont just "Bolt" up.

if it doesn't just bolt up then Ill just stick to the plan of making an adapter ring that will bolt the 241 up to my existing S10 nv3500 and make sure to support the rear of the case

I don't know the answer to your question but I do have an nv3500 out of a 1/2 ton ifs truck on the garage floor if you need pictures or measurements.

If you have the capabilities to make a clocking ring like adapter then just do it. Theres no need for tcase support with a single case, although it cant hurt.

Thats what I ended up doing.
got the plate bolted to tcase.

just need a day to take old one out and see how far I can clock the new one.

What did you come up with for a adapter/ clocking ring. I'm in the same boat: 4.3 v6 to s10 3500 to 241 pass drop in my scout 800. Thanks
