So I have a NP241 in my 91 k5. I was working on an aquaintence of mine's ford with a np208 (IIRC) and it had a fixed yoke. Is this at all interchangeable with any other case? I'd like to have a fixed yoke without the $3-400 cost

Bite the bullet and buy the kit from ORD.
nah, not really. the only thing that interchanges is chevy front half and dodge rear half of 208s. and then its a little tricky.
