Ok, when i turn the rear driveshaft by hand i can hear a dry scraping sound coming from where it meets tcase, im thinking bearing or low on fluid (never had a leak ive noticed)........any ideas?? i think i got my metal woodpecker noise down to spindle bearing in front axle, got front locked up caliper fixed, now this problem........but the speed sensitive woodpecker noise sounds like its from rear end (i hate noises in drivetrain, they travel) but when spun on stands its all good......anyways any info be great!! especially on np241

Start with a fluid check and go from there.

Other possibilites; teflon pads on shift fork worn out or the hose to the oil pump pulled loose.
