Sorry for probably a newbie question......I want to change the T-case fluid but don't know if I crack it open to drain it or use some sort of suction device to suck the fluid out of the "filler hole".

Is there a proper way to change the fluid? I assume I refill it with standard ATF fluid. How much do I need to buy for a full replacement? 4 quarts?

Thanks for the help!

two big plugs on the back side, one at the bottom, one alittle higher, undo the lower one to drain, undo the higher one to fill.

Regular atf for replacement.

Were talking about changing transfer case fluid here - right???

Yes, just the transfer case. If I would have looked I would have seen the large, plug at the bottom of the transfer case.

Dumb question on my part.

Hey.....fyi, my wife was born in Costa Mesa!

Make sure the fill plug comes out first.

Found out the hard way once.
