NP241 vent fitting

Does anyone know how the 90 degree fitting for the vent line on an np241 is attached? My case is leaking where the fitting ataches to it and the fitting seems loose. I don't want to pull the case apart if I don't have to. I don't think that the fitting can be threaded in, because it will hit the case if you try to turn it.

I believe it's just a pressed in fitting. Mine also turns to some degree.

Can anyone else confirm that it is pressed in? I can turn the fitting and it moves up and down slightly, but it doesn't want to pull out. What can I do to stop it from leaking?

I put RTV around mine while I was doing my tranny install.
