NP241 Vent Tube

Does anyone know what keeps this vent tube in the transfer case and sealed? My vent moves very freely and seems loose. I ran a extended line back and up but It appears that it is leaking right around where it mates to the transfer case. Looking for some help here from the guys who have rebuilt them. Sorry for the bad pic it was dark out...

how is this vent tube in the case and how does it seal? Mine moves very freely and it is leaking around where it goes into the case....

Being that it is a press fit, can I pry on it and pop it out and put some sealer on it and tap it back in to try and get a good seal? The other though would be to thread and tap the hole? Not sure what size it would be or how much material is there to tap into? Has anyone done this?

I tried that before and could not get it back in so I did the threading plan and it worked great.
I used a1/8 NPT

I did all of those with the cases installed. It's not that hard.
