I recently bought The Grinch Blazer and I'm slowly working my way through a couple small issues, mostly so,e small leaks. I pulled the T-case apart to reseal it and paint it. I came across a few small cracks around the input, and it kinda looks like maybe someone had done some welding from the inside for a previous repair for the same issue. You guys think this is worth worrying about? Maybe buy another case or weld up the cracks again and run it?

Those appear to just be casting marks. Every 241 I've seen has that. Unless I'm missing the obvious on my tiny phone.

That does make more sense than penetration from welding, this is my first time breaking into a transfer case, only other time I've even seen one open was online searching for folks with a similar issue. On a small screen I can see there being some difficulty seeing the cracks, it's definitely cracked, I'm just not sure how big of a an issue it is.

Ok so after reading poorboyk5's response I got the rest of the case torn apart.

The "cracks" I'm seeing fall right inline with the ribs on the inside. I'm just special I guess, a couple of them look like they split though. Thanks for the assist, back to licking my elbow!
