I just picked up a np241c out of a 89 burban w/mech speedo for 100 bucks. The only draw back was i had to pull it in his driveway. His wreck was alot greasier than my rig (Mines got dirt instead). Anyway I want to rebuild this with all new bearings, seals, and a sye kit. Ive looked at the JB one and I was just wondering if there was anywhere else to compare. Whats the best chain for it and are there any other upgrades I can do. Can i get this stuff all from JB or somewhere else? I also wanted to replace the speedo gear to recalibrate my speedo for the new gears and tires. Can this be done? Also should i just get the 1310 yoke on it or upgrade to 1350 to match the 14ff and cv? I think I have to do so machine work for it or something. What about clocking it? I can see this will move it out of the way but it seems the tranny mount wont work then and wont that weaken it?
