anyone know off hand what the spline count and shaft size is on a 241HD t-case in a late '90s fullsize? Specifically the '97 crewcab in my sig.

cool. well puts a kink in my driveline swap plans a little though........I may have to revert to the original plan. get an adapter to put the Ford 205 behind a Dodge tranny in the Chevy :doah:

Soooooooo....... a Dodge light duty case input will sink into a GM HD case? veeery niiice. I like that better than the 205 route.

IIRC the difference between the regular 241's and the HD was the chain, thicker and wider on the HD case. Input gears should swap no problem.

It's ridiculously easy to swap...

I'm so on that, thanks for the info rene........ yup the HD case has bigger chain and a PTO port. I wasn't sure about the rest though.

Yep the input is a very easy swap and there really isn't much to tearing a 241 apart.

Dodge had a 241 HD also in there trucks. My 98 Cummins has an NV4500/241HD combo so you can probably find one of those cases to bolt up to a dodge trans.
