While the mountain truck build is on the rack in the shop I was I inspecting the exhaust and saw that the clutch fork and linkage are in a weird angle. Frame to trans linkage looks good and straight. From the end of the arm to the clutch fork that linkage is really offset. Making it look to me like the clutch fork is too short. If you have this setup can you snap a pic of it for me? I might be jumping off the deep end but something doesn't look right. Clutch operates fine. Adjustment is good as well.

My buddy recently had an '84 with an SM465 and that rod was at a crazy angle too. I just assumed the frame linkage arm was bent. It worked fine though.

And IIRC, the 833 uses the same bell, clutch and fork. Except for one lower mounting hole for the trans, but some 465 bells had that bolt hole tapped also.

Would you be willing to wait a couple days for me to snap you some pics @Vombrown?

We just got 3" of snow and it's melting so under the K10 I have with the 883 is a mess and I'd rather not lay in it. :haha:

Good deal, it should be dried out or dry enough by Sunday.
