I use power service in all my diesels. Good stuff. Winter formula,.summer formula, and 911 emergency melt formula.

Argh! Been a cluster today! The guy with the dolly and truck said he fracked up his front wheel bearings yesterday. He never called me so this morning I go to pick up his brother who is still sleeping :doah: he tells me about the bearings. So the guy with the burb is expecting me today he fly's out on the 30th. I go to U-haul to rent a dolly. (insert buzzer) WRONG! Won't rent they say the truck is to heavy.

I get a hold of the guy who was going to do it and he says he got his truck fixed. So I say great we'll go Thursday and he says he has a funeral to go to. So I am like :sign27:

I fill my 93 up and find a guy who has a trailer that will hold the burb. It will cost me $55.00 to rent it for the day. Now I will be $55 lower than the $1,000 I was going to offer the guy with the burb :doah:

On top of it all I am driving it all by myself and it will be a wonderful 11 hour trip up and back. Wish I knew some one to ride along

So while I was up in Montrose I checked the 1990 blue and white burb. It had three batteries at one time. Only one in it now but has the GM left hand tray and a third one on drivers side like they do on CUCV's with a relay and some wires hacked off. For being 225,000 miles on it there was no smoke or knock. It had a dead battery but was the inside dirty and rough.

So on to positive thoughts. Please think and put good vibes on for me Thursday. I am going north Hwy 550 to I-70 east to North SR13 to US40 to Steamboat Springs. Been keeping location on low so no one sticks me like the tire deal:rolleyes:

Going to steam boat CO?
DAMN that is far...
I went thru there on my way from Loveland CO to bonanza UT a month ago.

Are there any nicer suburbans in your area that you would be interested but feel you cannot afford?

I'd be willing to pitch into the "Get Metrodps a nicer and more reliable suburban" fund!

If it is not running you are basically buying a body.

If you think it is worth the $600 with an unknown running condition then go for it.

I would not pay that much for a body, if you think it is going to run then it is probably worth it.

I sold my 88 burban with a 6 inch ift and 37's for 2k, I hope you find the issues with your truck! there are good trucks out there you just need to look for them.

The title says 0 under miles :dunno:

When I bought my K5 in Colorado Springs 6 years ago the mileage on the title said 0. I asked about it and they said if vehicles are over a certain age or have exceeded the mechanical limits of the sppedo (i.e. over 100,000 miles on a 5 digit speedo) that they don't keep that info and just put 0 for the mileage.

It'll work fine with that 305, heck the factory, according to that previous Youtube post, installed 250 6 cylinder engines in them as well.

Sure it won't be a power horse, but it will get it decently drivable.

If you have no other engines to put in it, I say do it until you get something better down the road for it. at least it'll be drivable.

I agree

How do you figure you got screwed? You bought it at iron price.

Martin

Yup, you still did quite well on it. I can take a scrap hulk in for about that much. I am sure there is a decent used 350 kicking around somewhere in Colorado :D
