i have a 241 in my 89 k5 and i am getting ready to do a nv4500 swap from my 700r4 and so i need to find a 32 spline input shaft where is a good place to get one i would love to find a good used one for cheap but i am not going to hold my breath on that where does most people get them and how much do they normaly cost

also i am going to do a 241/205 doubler in the future so if i find a drivers drop 241 with a 32 spline input will it work
thanks

We can get you a 32 spline input for your 241.

241 inputs did change at some point in the early 90's I believe, so keep that in mind for your future project.

how much would it be for one

and also all the other deals i have found on a nv4500 has fell through but i found one today at a local salvage yard in a 97 chevy diesel wrecker the guy said wreckers use the same trans as a 4x4 because they have a brake on the back of them instead of a tcase he said he used one identical to that one is his 4x4 truck behind a 454bbc with a diesel belhousing
has anyone else heard of this?

Diesel and gas use the same bellhousing. The output shaft on the trans that used a trans brake are 35 splined not 32 splined like the 4x4 version you need. There is a place in sa that keeps the input shafts for $76 that is were i got mine for my sub.

at my work we have the inputs for 32 spline 241s. I can get you a price on one if you want

well i went over to to look at it today and when i looked it was 4l80 the guy told me that he was told it was a standard and he never looked oh well back on the hunt for one lol

and yea get me a price if you don't mind i found one today online for $80 but now i ain't in as big of a hurry to get one since i didn't get the trans

from us it was 75 and i can probably ship it flat rate. lemme check to see if i have a used one in the parts room. if i can find one in there i might get it to ya for alot cheaper

used one would be great but if not i will take the new one as i bought a 96 nv today and are they the right one for a 89 tcase so i guess that would be the early version i think anyway
thanks

ok now i have another problem i got a trans and now i need a master slave and line to make it all work i couldn't get the slave and line with the trans and cannot find anyone that has one i can buy the master for 20 and slave for 60 new but how am i going to connect it to the master

i was going to use a slave for a k5 but don't it have a metal line and ain't the internal slave supposed to have a plastic one with the push in fittings? i am kinda lost i have searched on here and just don't know the best way to do this how have other people done this any ideas

if i had the plastic line couldn't i use a compression fitting
