like the title says.. I have a cummins im trying to put my nv4500 behind.. i need the bell housing! oh its a 96 cummins if that makes a difference.

i think these things are fake.. i am still searching aka i dont want to pay 800bucks for one.

They are not fake--they do exist. I have one with the engine plate, and throwout fork--figured on keeping it for a project I'll never get around to, I'll seriously consider a price, and let you know.

Look for one off a V-10, same thing and probly cheaper cause it's not off a "cummins"....I paid $100 for the one that I had...

What do.you mean by fake? I've got an nv4500 bellhousing in my garage.

I mean fake as in they are very difficult to find because the moment they come up for sale they are instantly sold and i have been searching for months.

Let me know guys what you got! i'd love to have one.

i suppose i should ask a very noob question.. will the transmission plate that is from a 47re work with the nv4500's bell housing? i am going to guess no by the things i have been reading.

It's been a while since I was messing with Cummins, but I don't think they are. I think the plate has to go with whatever tranny your gonna use.

Luke is correct--on the 5.9's, the engine plate is the same regardless of transmission with the exception of the early (89-93) 5.9's with the auto or the Getrag.
Mine is from a 97--I will get pics up later this week.
