Hey guys, I bought a new nv4500 built by advance adapters roughly 4 years ago. I’ve ran the truck maybe 15 mins total and driven it maybe 1/4 mile. Today when i was idling the truck in neutral to move it into the garage and it stalled. i cranked it up and it wanted to move in neutral so i push the clutch in and it’s fine…it will not move in any gear and in neutral….ONLY if the clutch is pressed in….what do you think gave up on life?

I am going to rip it out and take off the top cap to see what broke, but figured i’d ask for shiz and gigs. I’m assuming a bearing let go for one reason or another. :doah:

Not sure if I understand what you said:
It will only move if the clutch is pressed in or it will only start if it's pressed in?
If it's jammed up, most likely it's stuck in 2 gears

the truck will only start and or roll with the clutch pushed in. With the clutch out and trans in neutral or any gear, it wants to crank but VERY slowly. For now there’s no clutch safety switch so it will turnover whenever i turn the key. I’ve had my fair share of manual transmissions but i’ve never had one stuck in 2 gears. Thats definitely something to look for.

I'm not super familiar with those but I used to build big truck transmissions and I bet you lost the pocket bearing in the back side of the input shaft.

hmmm ok, that wouldn’t be too bad to change if that’s true. I’ll pop the snout off before the case top to take a peak. thanks.

That happens if the forks wear out and don't fully goes out of one gear and the other fork puts it in another.
Or like in my big rig the main shaft gears were moving back and forth because the C clips holding them broke free
