im trying to make some prelim genrealizations about my swap for this down the road on the 91.

Im trying to use the 85+ square sm465 boot and oem 205 boot to the 91.
It sure as hell looks like they will not clear each other. but they might since I dont have a floorboard with both sticking out. just a tape measure and some figgerin.

anyone have any pics of this because google doesnt seem to. Most people use the boot the nv4500 shifter mates too. which is ugly af.

I am bolting the 205 straight to my nv4500 adapter with the short input gear.

Calling @Chevy305, he runs that setup. I think @Larry does, too.

I'm running an '87 SM465 boot with the stock NP208 shifter. Trimming was required, but I think the NP205 boot will clear just fine.

On my NV4500 swap I originally used a universal Hurst style shifter boot to match my short throw shifter but it was stretched to it's max while still overlapping the trim ring for the tcase. I then used a 205 shifter boot over the top of my factory 208 shifter. Again that worked but didn't fit perfectly.
I was never super happy with how the boots overlapped and didn't quite fit right so I had a custom trim ring machined to fit around both and used two different universal black vinyl boots from Lokar. This current setup definitely looks the best but some more fine tuning of the boots is needed. Check out the pics on my last 2 pages or so of my build thread.
