My freshly overhauled NV4500 suffered a 5th gear failure. The gears didn't break in properly for some reason, and make a horrible noise if you attempt to run the truck in 5th. I paid over $400 to replace both gears when I overhauled the transmission, and just don't have that kind of cash to drop on another new pair.
Anyone have a matched set from a 4x4 transmission they'd like to sell? I've got a brand new syncro ring and will replace any bearings / bushings with new stuff while I've got it apart.
