Now I know a few of you have done this swap, but I am having a hard time finding out what clutch master cylinder I am going to need to use. Can I use a stock 80s hydro master and the stock nv4500 slave? I assume the fittings are different, so I'll need a custom hydraulic line.

Also I found a guy selling a junkyard nv4500 with everything needed for the swap but pedals and master, for $1000 locally. Is this a good deal? Keep in mind that it's 2wd, that's what I need.

I'm running an 80's hydro master with the early 90's NV4500 slave. My hydro line is all hard plumbed (not ideal but isn't much of an issue due to length), ideally, you reuse the 80's hydro flex line but I broke mine too short. :doah:

Easy swap and and love the OD.:waytogo:

FYI, I picked my 4X4 NV4500 up for $350 with a 241 t-case on it... Which I later sold for $100.

Believe it or not, mine came out of a 93 Chevy work truck with a 4.3 engine. Pretty sure the guy didn't know what he had... I made him guarantee that a magnet would stick to the case prior to driving out to his "junkyard / front lawn"

ya your setup is the first few years with external pass side lower slave.

if stock hose its metric nut and bubble flare . keep this in mind for the splice in . thay do make unions for these .

and the truck for correct info is 1500 W/T on the badges . those and 6.5td 1/2 tons also got them if stick .

just used the advanced adaptors spacer when we swaped in your 4500 with the round 6 205 you had .

good time to freshin up seals / gasket like we did on your 205 when its out . and the mod I had to talk you in to and let me do you love . full twin stick of 205 . frt wheel drive option you love now so you have told me.

original post question : 1k for 2wd 4500 better be super condition and warrenty . 2wd cheeper than 4wd units .
