I'm building a GM 203/205 doubler. There's a guy locally selling a used NWF cable shifter for $350. Is this worth it? Should I buy new?

Thanks!!!

I don't know about differences between the 2 shifters mentioned but I do know that for a long time NWF had issues with the cables they used. Literally, for years there was negative feedback about the cables breaking. That said, I've read this issue was corrected (new supplier?) so you'd just need to be careful to make sure the used shifter does not have any of the problem parts.

The JB Fab shifters look like a really nice product but $500+ ?!? Holy crap! Even the NWF shifters are $400+ new. I want to convert to triples (with cables) but I jut cannot justify the cost.

as mentioned, NWF had some problems and I've heard mixed reviews in general about their cable setups. John at JB Fab has top notch service and products.

The buggy system is $304. The billet system is the $529.

The one that's for sale is $350. Wife said for that much I might as well pay the extra $80 for the new ones from NWF. I was thinking with the used ones they'd either already be fixed or not going to break. I was originally just going to do the standard shifters because cables were more expensive.

My brother has the NWF cable triple sticks...been running for a couple years and never had an issue. I have some JB fab stuff too and his stuff is top notch for sure
