I've interrupted the MAD thread enough lol.
I found a 10k lift that will fit in my garage. It has an apartment above it.
While shopping I've come across the floor requirements, usually 6" of 3000-3500 lb concrete.

Just curious, how can I determine whate kind of concrete is in my 40+ y.o. garage...?

Cut a plug for a sample.
Maybe an ultra sound for thickness.
Contact a concrete specialist or engineer.

I checked the height of mine today 12’2” floor to top of posts.

Aren't there load spreading plates you can cheat that a little and be safe? Like a 1/2"-1" plate from side to side where they are both bolted to? :D
