Will an o-ring line/fitting physically thread into a flared steering box?

I have an 80 K20 that i swapped over to hydroboost a few years ago. The hydrobooster is leaking so i am looking for another but unsure what is the correct one for me.

The current one is all 0-ringed lines and i have not seen any leakage so i assume it is the correct one for my box but wondering if i am just getting lucky with no leaks and using incorrect lines.

I do rememeber looking at the fittings in the steering box after i did the conversion but could not tell which i have.

Does anyone have pics of the different types in the steering boxes?

Also, i recall someone had found adapters that went into the steering box to convert the flared to o-ring but am unable to find it now.

Yes the threads are the same, in fact the box's are the same except that the flared fitting box has a taper seat pressed into the box and they can be removed to convert from a flared fitting to an O-ring fitting box (I haven't personally done it myself so I don't know how hard it is to remove the flare adapter).

Thanks, now i just need to find an o-ring hydrobooster.

Quick question for the o-rings on these fittings, would buna be ok or should i use viton?

go to your local part store and find the repair parts section for fuel lines. then get a package of orings for 3/8 line gm fuel fittings.

i know napa has this stuff. like 5 in a pack for few bucks.

It's been awhile since i've had my lines off but IIRC there are 2 different size O-rings needed.
