O.T.-S-10 transfer case...which side is the front output shaft

As the title says.
Is the 4x4 S-10 transfer case a driver's side or passenger side drop to the front axle?
And did they ever come attached to a TH350.
I ask as my brother in-law wants to swap in a SBC 350,TH350 into his 88 YJ(Jeep) and we're trying to figure out what transfer case we could use.

Thanks, sorry for the Jeep related question.

i just remembered, with the th350, you need the 2wd short tail (6" tailshaft) and cut 7/8" off the end (IIRC) then you can use the spacer to hook it to the tcase. it will be the same length as a 700r4 though.

a link to the spacer has been posted before, im too tired to look for it.

you might want to think about a t case from a full size because a lot of times the transfer cases used in the s-10 can not handle a lot of torque

jagsthatrun.com has everything you could possibly need for this swap. check it out!
