When I started restoring my truck I put in hooker headers and welded the O2 Sensor in the usual spot bottom driver side pipe. I've noticed every time we have snow or rain my check engine light goes on. When I checked the codes it said O2 sensor problem. But once it dries the check engine light goes off. I tried wrapping the wire that goes to the O2 with plastic cover to no avail. Last night we had a storm and light went on again. This morning it stayed on a bit then it went off. Has anybody had a similar problem?. Any ideas on how to remedy it? Thx

Whats the code actually say? Rich or lean? Probably not going to point us anywhere, did you inspect the O2 sensor to see if the top is damaged where the wire goes in? Only thing I can think of AT the sensor, could be something at the connector further up, or totally different issue.

I'm gonna take through the car wash to simulate the issue ,wait for rain again and check codes again. I'm not sure which sensor code it was. Thank u
