So I was walking around the junkyard yesterday and I ran across an 80s medium duty Ford dump truck with a Caterpillar 3208 that had a pretty large looking compressor on the top of it. It spins free and has compression, Is this worth anything?

This is a york compressor, the most common one used for OBA. You can find them in old Fords, Volvos, semis, etc.

It was covered in grease but very to similar to that. What would a part like that be worth?
Well, to give you an idea, I bought a reman unit at the parts store from an 80s Volvo for $140. So I guess it depends on how bad you want a used one that might need work. Although, mine didn't come with the clutch and pulley, that would run you another $100 for brand new.

oh I see, I was expecting these to be expensive. I have no need for OBA so at the junkyard it will remain.
