OK, don't shoot me if this is a dumb question, but I have an OBD2 reader that was given to me. Is there such a thing as an adapter to be able to hook this to my OBD1/aldl port for my burb?

OBD1 and OBD2 are completely different. You'll need an OBD1 scanner or code reader. If you have a laptop just go to ALDLcable.com and buy the proper cable and download the free WINaldl program and you're all set.
