OBD Reader Question

Sounds like a bad OBD reader causing issues. The reader should have no impact on the engine.

TBI engine? It’s been a few (well a lot of years) since I had a TBI, but there are some some older write-ups on making a serial cable and free software for a PC based reader that gives a lot more parameters and logging than the cheap handheld units.

Yes I seem to remember not beingvable to test drive tbi with pins shorted or reader in place.
Engine didn't have same programming in Diagnostic mode

Anyone else get a high idle after they hook-up their reader? Have a fix? Hard to baseline anything.

ACTRON CP9690 ELITE AUTOSCANNER
Yes I have the same issue when using my Actron CP9145 on my 87 K10 350 TBI

You can but you need a serial or USB adapter cable and tunerpro RT to drive and data log. there may be other programs that will work but tunerpro RT is the one I use while working on my suburban. I do not have high idle issues while data logging using tuner pro
