I had an Autel AL519 scanner that was stolen; I am looking at replacing it and upgrading and was wondering about an Innova 5610. anyone have one of these scanners? or any advice?

How does this compare to like the snap on junk?
I bought one of these for our son for Christmas, it seams to work pretty good. He was able to data log and find the miss fire on his car.
I can't give an answer; never used the snap on stuff. this was probably more than I needed; but when I got home from Amarillo last night this was on a flash sale for $131
that's a lot nicer than what I got. I thought about getting one that was bidirectional.
Any thoughts on using a laptop or your phone for logging? OBD MX has some laptop software that's not terrible. HP Tuners has decent logging and diag stuff, that doesn't take credits.
HP Tuners is pretty expensive for just logging because you have to buy their dongle. It also doesn't read anything besides engine/transmission. It can do a couple of bidirectional things, clear fuel trims and CASE learn come to mind.
OBD MX+ will let you read codes from ABS/SRS/BCM and get data like wheel speeds. At least for some vehicles. Do research regarding yours.

I have the Topdon AD600s, aside from being slow, and weird messages while the machine is connecting or switching between modules, it does work and the software has been updated a number of times. The developer is open to feed back. I complained that the code reader clear app wouldn't work w/o out a wifi connection to internet, making useless if you needed to use in remote location or on the road. They fixed that, the generic obdii scan and clear functions will work with out wifi.
Have had for several years, was able to abs bleed the 01 burb, though I haven't found away to do crank sensor relearn.

I had the mx and I was trying to do the crank sensor relearn on my 09 accord it didn't support that car, I was disappointed.
It ended up doing it by itself though in a few days
hp tuners will do it, and doesn't need credits to relearn
I have an Autel TS608. Not sure its available anymore. It's a workhorse. Does TPMS reading as well as key programming for a bunch of makes. It was sold as a TPMS scanner but has tons of hidden features. Down side is $200/ yr for updates. Better than snapper scanner IMO.
