Just wondering which VSS input to use with the $OD and 700R4. Should pins F2 & F3 or pins F12 & F13 be used with the 700R4.

Thanks,
dave w

Can't see any of the info because it is way to small and when you clik the pic it gets smaller but those pics are for a 1995 C1500 4L60E not a 700R4.

I changed the pics to jpegs, should enlarge.

$OD was used on 1995 models. I have not been able to find a $OD schematic with the 700R4. What I was able to find, are the posted schematics. The 4L80E VSS is going to pins F2 & F3. The 4L80E does not show a VSSB between the PCM and VSS. The 4L60E is using pins F12 & F13 which are from the VSSB, which is getting it's inputs from the VSS.

So the question I have, which set of pins are used for the 700R4 F2 & F3 or F12 & F13?

I really can't answer your question but are you trying to put a 700R4 into a truck that came with a 4L60E? The 4L60E and the 700R4 aren't the same.

What does "$OD" mean?

Software to program the PROM chip, depending on the computer used for a certain make / model / year.
$OD is for:
Light Duty (4L60E & MT) 94-95 C,K 5.0L TBI (L03)
94-95 C,K 5.7L TBI (L05)
94-95 S 4.3L CPI (L35)
94-95 C,K,S 4.3LTBI (LB4)

$31 is for:
Heavy Duty (4L80E & MT) 94-95 C,K (AT) 4.3L TBI (LB4)
94-95 C,K (MT) 4.3L TBI (LB4)
94-95 C,K (AT) 5.7L TBI (L05)
94-95 C,K (AT) 7.4L TBI (LB4)

I'm trying to upgrade a newer computer, $OD, into an older TBI vehicle that has a 700R4.
