Figured with a fun title, almost everybody would look. Truck threw a code 42 on sunday, where the esc fails to communicate with the cpu and does not advance or retard spark, took it to the shop monday. It drove to work and back sunday, sluggishly, The mechanic hooked the machine up and found literally nothing wrong with the truck, he cleared the code and everything is fine and dandy now. He says that we have a few odd things in my blazer. When he hooks his scan tool up to the truck it says that the ISC is open but there is physically not an ISC present. He said that is should have a 4 white ISC but it has a one wire, then he was wondering about the PROM/computer, so he was going to check into it and see if its the right one based on the VIN. PO, or numerous PO's ago did do an engine swap, I was told that it was a crate motor but wondered how I managed to have parts missing that the computer says is present and on. Thats all for today!
