I went to the U Pull it just looking around and getting some small parts for my new beater car (2001 dodge neon 80k). And I browsed the ford section and they had a 1973 Bronco? that was right hand drive. It was complete with steering wheel down to steering box. It was in the ford section but it looked more like an international then a ford per se.

It was very cool. Im temped to yank the steering components for a badass right hand drive rat rod build.

Also the 2 K5s were completely gutted down to just shell and frame, :doah:Its getting harder and harder to find usable parts on these things around here. Yea Cash-for-Clunkers.

Also interesting in the ford section, someone found a slick idea on how to get an engine and tranny from ford expeditions, they took off the front end and cut the frame just infront of the firewall. There were 2 expeditions side by side and both had their tranny/engine removed in this fashion, the cuts were very clean too.

Right hand drive?..may have been a mail truck in its former glory,or one from overseas??..they do make many RHD versions of cars, vans and trucks ,but we rarely see them here unless the post office uses them...I have seen RHD Caravans and Ford Focus's before!..must be hell to pay when they need parts, only dealers can get them probably, and cost a kings ransom!..

I hear ya on the general K5 situation at the salvage yards. Out here in the Denver metro, just really...not much left (or coming in). I've been super active this summer, even going down to the UPull in the Springs. Just really slim pickings, or none for K5's.

Thankfully the late model 'Burb situation blew up at the one in west Denver, so scored as many cross-over parts as I could. In my case it was the '90-91 power mirrors, and a bunch of cosmetic/lighting stuff. And a small-quad-headlight radiator support to replace my cracked to sh*t one. Way loose front body mount. :doah:

It took me all summer to finally track down a passenger side factory tinted rear slider window, and that was more random luck than anything else.

Around here, Craigslist seems to be almost better (for again, later model stuff) as folks still seem to at least make an effort to part them out.
