ok, maybe some one else has had this too because its driving me nuts:

when you turn the truck or rock it off balance there is a noise from, what sounds like, under the console towards the passanger seat that sounds like the tranny is rocking back and forth as if it werent bolted down tight, but i've double/triple checked all its mounts and bolts and they are tight. it does sometimes "rock" back after the truck is leveled again. it does it occasionally when I accelerate and the momentum (well u know) raises the front of the truck up slightly as well. when i turn the corner, its the worst, and i mean it sounds like "pop pop", hard to explain the sound.

any ideas? body mounts? i'm just waiting for somethign to fall out the bottom lol.

thanks ya'll

First thought would be shock mount eye bushing worn out, maybe even the shock siezing up slightly. They tend to make a kind of knocking noise through the floor. Thought you'd hear that over most bumps though.
You could get a 'trusted' friend to rock the truck side to side while you lay underneath (no snoozing now!:D ) and see if you can hear/feel where it's coming from. Another alternative is, if you have any mechanic friends, borrow a snap-on 'chassis ear'. I use one and they're great for this kind of stuff. It's a six channel 'listening device'. You clip the probes near suspected areas, run the wires into the cab, put the headphones on and go for a drive listening to different channels to see which is the loudest so you can pinpoint the problem.

Alternatively.....turn the stereo up!:D

Good luck.
