odometer just stopped

I dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing, however my odometer just stopped working. I checked the cable behind the cluster and its still connected. I unpluged it and reconnected and still not working. Is their something else that I'm missing?

Sounds like the gears in the odometer seized or jammed. You can try taking it apart and see if anything is broken.

how can it get to the gears w/in the cluster?

Does the speedometer itself still work and only the odometer quit working?

yeah the speedo still works.

I had the same issue on mine. After taking apart the odometer assembly, the plastic gears look like they loose some lubrication and they get stuck. You might be able to remove the assembly and try jiggling it loose again by hand to see if it'll stay unstuck. I was able get it working again this way for a while, but it stopped again after a few trips. I ended up finding another speedo and swapping in the new odometer gears.
