I'm studying up for the final phase of my front axle build.

Where can I find a completely flat pitman arm with a hole spacing around 5.5" - 6.0". It needs to have the Saginaw splines (obviously) but from what I've read almost everyone (except Ford) uses Saginaw boxes, so finding a match should be pretty easy..... Chevy, Scout, Jeep, etc. :dunno:

I read that there are some Jeep arms (XJ or TJ?) that might be a flat style arm...just need to confirm that the splines are a match to my Saginaw 800 box before I start buying samples from eBay.

scouts are flat but kind of screwy. The ones with manual steering would fit what you're looking for but the splines are wrong. While the ones for power steering would fit but are like 7" long and are mostly flat but have a small 1-1.5" drop.

I was gonna mention wfo too. Price isn't too bad on a new one.

Cheater. Make your own like everything else on that rig.

Get out you triga-geomitry, phase of the moon, calcumolator little black book thingy and whip one out with a ball peen hammer and your favorite screwchisel, touch up the rough edges with that sander of yours and walla 10 more man hours out in the garage.:D

Funny. :D

I have a secret. I didn't build the steering box myself... Or the tires....

That's because you haven't gone all fordlandia on us and planted rubber trees in the back yard.

But you thought about it.
