oem shocks

i finished installing my front axel and i do not want to run both oem shocks. which is the best to remove - the one with the upper frame mount towards the front of the vehicle or the one with the upper frame mount towards the rear of the vehicle?

I'd say the one that actually bolts into the shock braket(I think its the one that is forward on the truck)
