I have to do some rust repair of the rocker panels, floor, and doors. Obviously the aftermarket panels are cheaper (and there's a certifit here in town). What advantage would OEM products have?

better steel and better fit at 5x's the cost..

If you were welding in some rocker panels and floor panels along with replacing some door shells, which would you choose?

well, the critical factor I left out is, what is available in OEM..

generally, not much.. I haven't seen inner or outer rockers in years, or front floor pans... doors run 500, fenders 500, qrtersrun upwards of a grand..

haven't seen OEM door skins in ages either, just whole doors..

in other words, you'll be going aftermarket, or custom... and for the record, all aftermarket sheetmetal is the same Taiwan stuff..

replacement steel

ryoken is right, I don't think you have many choices, everything is aftermarket for K5's. It all is pretty much the same. I have ordered, a inner wheel well from LMC, and cargo beds, and rocker panels from Goodmark. They were all nice new sheet metal, but all were just alittle off from the oem. You have to custome some parts of the replacement part nomatter where you get it from.
