I’ve always used brand name tool batteries. I run Makita.

But the 6.0ah batteries on Amazon are very tempting.

Anyone have any experience?

The Makita ones have always been great, they are just expensive.

I tried the 6.0ah batteries from Amazon and while they worked well at first, they died with a few weeks of no use.
I let them be for a year then learned they can be revived, so I did and while they kinda did work, they still died too quick and needed a revival every few weeks.
I resolved to just buy original batteries when they go on sale and as of now I have a couple of dozen batteries

Super helpful, thanks. One set of my makita's get left in the truck outside all winter. Regularly 15-25˚ at night. And they come out of winter working perfectly and still charged.

I'd rather have this be the case. Thanks

I've got some knock off Ryobi and Porter Cable; no problems.

I have some Amazon 6.0ah knock offs couple years old they work fine. While my tools don't get a workout everyday.
just checked my orders Amazon no longer has. Brand was Magolin.

I've only lost 1 Milwaukee battery. I have some that are 11 or 12 years old and still going. I inherited off-brand M12 batteries and those all stopped taking a charge after a couple of years. And I'm just a weekend user for the most part.
