I have been having a problem with the rocker arm on one of the exhaust valves loosening enough to not work at all. It has happened twice now. I put a new rocker arm, ball, and nut on last night and it is still happening. I have checked the pushrod and it isn' bent. A friend said maybe the valve spring is weak and that is causing the problem. Anyone else have an idea? These are aluminum heads with self centering rocker arms.
I am using the factory style nut, not the poly locks with the set screws. If the valve spring is the problem, I don't see how that would help.
Does anyone make a tall centerbolt valve cover?
