Ok got Bilstein shocks in yesterday. F3's for front and 11's for rear specked to my K5. 2 shocks read 5125 and body of shocks also say 5125 now the other 2 boxes and shocks read 5100 and body of shocks read 5100.

I see when you pull up shocks on ORD's website http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/Bilstein 5125.htm that there is no mention of 5100 shocks.

So did they send me 2 wrong shocks?

If they did not where do the 5125's go front or rear and same for 5100's?

Just curious here guys. Thanks in advance.

5125 and 5150 are universal shocks, so you pretty much only have choice of 175/60 or 255/70 damping. Each 5100 is supposedly valved for some specific application. So are they the same length? F3 is a 12" travel shock? You must be at around 4" of lift with the front shock mounts raised up? It would be a shame to buy Bilsteins for the stock front upper mount.

5100's and 5125's look identical from the outside, the difference is the 5125's are "universal" and the 5100's are application specific. As mentioned, there's a big spreadsheet of 5125's to choose from with different lengths, valving, etc. and the 5100's often don't share the same travel/valving as the 5125's. Your shocks are a prime example the "F3" that we do is a 5100 that has valving you can't get in a 5125.

So it looks like you have the correct shocks, the "F3's" are 5100's and the 11" travel version are a 5125.
