Hi guys, do any of you know if ORD are still up and running?? i have sent 2 emails to "Stephan" about body lift kits and new body mounts, haven't heard a thing back, also do any off you know if they ship to New Zealand?

Cheers

yes they are, it's usually better to call, they are awful busy, and emails don't go answered much.

They have been racing this past week

Off the top of my head I know they've shipped to Europe and I want to say Australia.

A Kiwi K5 owner eh? I knew they were over there as I've seen them in person but I think you're the first on here.

Cheers guys, I'll wait for another wek and then maybe ring them, Plenty Blazers down here in Kiwi land man, I have 3 of them a 73, an 81 and a 85

Cheers for the replies

Nice.

I remember standing on a corner in Christchurch and watching an '88 or so rumble by. Figured I'd like it there after seeing that.

Got any pictures anywhere on the net? Like to see how the RHD was done.

No ****? I thought you had to convert them to RHD unless you were the original owner before they were imported?

I almost moved there in '01 and was looking into this with the '92 Blazer I owned at the time.

What e-mail address are you using? I ask because his name is actually spelled "Stephen".

I know he has been out of the shop for at least the past week competing in the Vegas 2 Reno race put on by the Best in the Desert. They finished 2nd in their class!

The junk mail screen er they use is a pain in the booty i know i have called and left a note for steve so he looks a little harder lol.

Reagarding the LHD, the ones I have already have a permit to stay LHD, not too sure on the ruling there, but mine are all legal so it's all good.

Regarding the email address, I used the contact box on their website to contact Stephen and didn't have it bounce back so I assume it was all good.

I just talked to a mate of mine based in Germany who has an American mate going to Germany in about 2 weeks, if I can't get a hold of Stephen I will get him to take them over there and me mate is comming back too NZ in October for some fishin, and 4X4 fun etc.

The vehicle they are going on is a project so it doesn't really need to be here a.s.a.p. Man you guys over there have it made - the coolest vehicles on the planet and all the parts at your finger tips God Bless America, but not BUSH hahaha

the only thing i wish we didnt have was heavy rust in parts of the country.

and my problem is i live in the north east and right smack dab in the middle of rust. and i am a auto mechanic and work on the rust junk every day.

nice to see a few people from 1/2 way around the world.

make sure you post up more and if possible pics would be so cool.

Let me know what your email address is and I will make sure Stephen looks for it.

There are thousands of emails per day that run through the spam filter there and sometimes the filter takes a good one. They can retrieve them but have to look for them specifically.

i have a question off topic for the member from new zealand. we can't hardly find big block chevy engines around here..b/c there are people from new zealand who have came over here and told all our salvage yards they will pay premium cash for them. so, they yank all the big blocks and set them aside and won't sell them to us b/c they can get more cash for them from these guys from new zealand, who come and buy them all up & crate them up and ship them to new zealand.

i was at a local salvage yard that had 7-8 big blocks sitting together next to the office, i tried my hardest to buy a 427T from them. they would not sell any of them, b/c he stated he had a deal w/someone from new zealand & he should be through in a couple of weeks to get them.

at another local yard, i found their stash of 4-5 big blocks and inquired about them & i was told they also were bound for new zealand. i've asked at other local yards & they to are holding all big block chevy's for someone from new zealand, who comes over 2-3 times a year and hits up all the yards in central arkansas buying all our big blocks and ship them to new zealand, and has been doing so for about 10 years now.

what are ya'll doing with all our big blocks?

We melt them down to make small blocks hahaha, just kidding, I had no idea that was going on, but there is a massive interest in drag racing and muscle (American) cars down here, not too mention the Jet Boating scene, I guess they are grabbing as many as they can since they aint making the old stuf any more - with our crappy exchange rate, you could probably fly down here man and have a cool holliday, buy them all back and still have change left from what you pay back home.

Miniwally thanks for that dude, my email addy is gtodd at ihug dot co dot nz, it won't let me post it in the correct format, it says "Stop stealing our big blocks you Kiwi pricks" :haha: Thanks for the help guys, also Blazinblazer try haing a look at this site - trademe dot co dot nz with the usual w x3 begining, look type bigblock into the search box and you will see how popular American Iron is down under, Trademe is our version of Ebay

Are we the new Mexico? :doah:
