We are introducing the first front bolt on coil over conversion for all 73-91 K5 Blazers (of course it will work on any of the front leaf sprung vehicles of that vintage, not to leave out the truck owners).

We designed this kit to be a bolt on kit, so if you have a small grinder, a drill and basic hand tools you can do this kit in a day. You will also have the best riding vehicle with the most articulation for a street/trail vehicle on the road.

The kit comes with adjustable control arms to help locate the axle front to back if needed and to adjust for pinion angle and/or caster without having to take the upper arms off. It has an adjustable trac bar & engine crossover brace for the upper shock mounts. Some adjustment of A/C lines may be required depending on how GM routed your particular ones, but it should be minor.

The coil over shocks are Doetsch units with remote reservior. We can customize the kit with different coil rates for bigger engines or extra equipment hanging out front and we can even powdercoat it to a desired color as long as it is a standard color offered by Cardinal Industrial Finishes.

Presently, the front saddle fits Dana 44 and GM 10 bolt front axles and the crossmember works with SM465, TH350, TH400 and 700R transmissions utilizing 203, 205, 208 or 241 transfercases. A Dana 60 front saddle is in the works and should be ready in the next 30-60 days.

A rear 4 link system is in the works for the GM FF 14 bolt - will keep you posted as this system progresses.

Email, call, stop by with any questions you may have about our kit. We are happy to talk to you about it.

For more pics go to www.offroadltd.com and click on the CoilOver Tab.

Remeber this is a bolt on kit, so if you keep all your old parts - you can always put it back to stock if needed.

Sorry for the delay! But we are back in business......

Looks pretty cool.

Do you have any larger pics of the kit installed. All the ones on your site are pretty small.

How adjustable is the front axle position? Not the caster adjustments, but how far forward can the axle be placed?

The adjustment in the arms for front/back is to allow you to center the axle - you can move it back/forth about an 1" or so -
I will see about making the pics larger

Looks nice.

IMO the setup will be better when you have a D60 option and more trans crossmember options.

Does the $4600.00 pricetag include shipping?

how has the system been tested as far as rock crawling and trail riding.

I think if you were to make this for the dana60 with more travel (like 16") and for a cheaper cost, you would sell these like crazy! I would also like to see some close up pics especially of the upper coilover mount. I may be interested in buying just those upper mounts.

Yes, we are currently working on the Dana 60 option. Should be out in the next 30-60 days.

I'm sure I could get Jeff to work a deal for shipping (or some kind of discount) for anyone that is part of Colorado K5 - as soon as I can ask him I will let you know.

We have tested the kit at Moab and it worked great! Even driving from here to Moab was a great ride. We are finishing the rear 4 link system and adding some other stuff to our blazer that we hope to have out at Moab this year also. But anyone that wants to come look at it before then, is more than welcome to come visit us.

The reason we went w/13" of travel is because that is right at the limit for what the driveshaft joints can handle. 16" of travel would require a 16" shock, but after 14" of wheel travel driveshaft angle and bind start to become a problem. Longer shocks can be done, but it would also require longer arms more than likely. Here is what 13" of travel looks like.
Here is a link that shows the comparison between our kit and a leaf sprung vehicle.

I agree this is a good looking kit, but the price just seems a little high to me. A Skyjacker Coil-Over Conversion Kit for the Ford Super Duty is about HALF what this kit costs. I think if you reduced the cost you would sell them as fast as you can make them. As it is now, I believe it is too far out of reach for most people here.

I have seen the setup in person and is definitely nice work but also definitely out of my price range :(

Add the 60/14 combo and drop the price about $1000, and you would sell them all day and still make a GOOD profit without jacking the price.

Let's do a side-by-side comparison of these two products:

Theirs:
Shock Length:
Extended 25"
Collapsed 17"
Stroke 8"

Ours:
Shocks Length:
Extended 32"
Collapsed 19"
Stroke 13"

Shocks Coils: Single Rate(Theirs) - Dual Rate(Ours) - Cost Diff $200.00

Remote Reservoir: N/A (Theirs) - Standard (Ours) - Cost Diff $150.00

Control Arms Ends: Bushings (Theirs) - Heims Standard @ 3 points per arm - Cost Diff $400.00

Adjustable: N/A (Theirs) - Standard (Ours)

Adjustable Trac Bar: Optional (Theirs) - Standard (Ours) - Cost Diff $300.00

Engine Brace: N/A (Theirs) - Standard (Ours) - Cost Diff $200.00

Limiting Staps: N/A (Theirs) - Standard (Ours) - Cost Diff $60.00

Urethane Bump Stops: N/A (Theirs) - Standard (Ours) - Cost Diff $30.00

Extended SS Brake Lines: N/A (Theirs) - Standard (Ours) - Cost Diff $100.00

Transmission X-member: N/A (Theirs) - Standard (Ours) - Cost Diff $350.00
Required due to Chevrolet's 3 different factory x-member designs and different Trans/T-C combinations. A satisfactory control arm length was not obtainable w/o connecting the arms in the x-member area

Built in Axle Truss: N/A (Theirs) - Standard (Ours) - Cost Diff $100-150.00
Required to tie both sides together and allowed for attachment of control arm & tracbar bracketry.

Skyjacker's suggested price is $3000.00 (for rounded numbers $2984.05) and the discounted price on the internet (?) was $2500.00, so adding in the difference in cost of parts in the kits one arrives at $4300.00 - $4800.00 which places the cost of our conversion kit right in the middle of that range. Our kit is adjustable to 8" if you would like and the coils can be tuned for different rate requirements if needed. Our kit was built with function as well as form in mind.

You have a great looking product and are justifiably proud of it, but I honestly believe the cost is simply too high for all but a select few. I am not the only one who thinks so, either. Others have already commented as such. I am not trying to be an ass, but I honestly believe you have priced this product out of reach of the very consumers you are targeting.

Agreed. For a $4500 price tag, I can go to Ben Hanks racing, Teraflex, Rocklogic, (just to name a couple) And get all the parts I need for whatever axle you have, and still have cash left over for more parts.

How many have you sold at this great price?
