Hey I know this is off subject but I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand. You guys have answered a bunch of my questions in the past and have been a great help. Hopefully noone gets offended apparently I don't have the privilege of posting in the 'off topic' forum, lol. Anyhow, my girlfriend just bought a G6. The bolt pattern is 5x110. And I recently acquired a set of 5x108 universal Enkei rims, when i went to put them on obviously they didn't fit. But it was so close it wasn't funny, I could have probably beaten them on!! So there are a couple options I wanted to ask before I go ahead and mess something up.
1. Wheel spacer/adapters. There are a few concerns I have. One, I read somewhere that because the back of the wheel doesn't mesh with a flat surface it can cause vibration while driving. Would "Hub centric" spacers be necessary or is this a waste of money? Is anyone here running spacers on their K5?
2. The other option, which I'm leaning towards, is drilling each hole out about 1mm or less, basically the closest next size bit. Because the lug nuts are counter sunk would this compensate for the 2mm bolt pattern difference when tightened down???
Im no stranger to making things fit (lol) I own a 77 Chevy 4x4 and have to retro fit parts all the time just never had to do a wheel before. Thanks in advance for all the help and insight!
