How often do people walk up, stop by or leave notes on your rig asking if you want to sell it? And what do you tell them?

I just had someone stop by my house last night asking about mine... Seems like it happens every other month or so but everybody seems to expect me to give it away.

Had a guy ask to buy mine last week. Told him $8500.
Got kinda scared when he didn't flinch

A guy asked me about the 76 last year.
I told him 10 thinking that would do it. His response was "that's it?"
I quickly had to back step and tell him I wasn't interested in selling....

I can't park my k30 out front of work without 3 people a week calling about it.
Also had a call for my rock crawler k5 when it was out front. "Yeah is the blazer that's been rolled for sale?"

Made me laugh and then cry a little.

I would have been proud.

I just say $20,000 would do it and walk away.

When I had my old 81 Jimmy on 40's I'd get that once in a while. The best "offer" I got was for $10K while sitting next to a guy at a red light. I should have taken that offer, lol. Now 10 years later, here in Edmonton we'll see what it's like when I get the '90 out and about. Aside from Bix's 90 K5 I know of maybe four others in and around town. They are really scarce here...and when I see them for sale online they're usually priced very high if they're in OK shape.

Not me. :frown1:

Probably because I put all my money into the stuff you can see. The stuff you can see is fairly beat up. Would like to have a nicer looking pickup but then I'd never take it on the trails I run with the crew cab now.

I think that I only get asked a couple of times a year on my fleet. I don't seem to see many people with money and the interest here. But I have told a couple of guys $20K on my '70 over the last 2 years.
No surprise that I still have it!!!
I got more interest in my old calico '79 K30 when I had it, but mainly by guys that wanted the axles.... Lol!
