thanks yea, i did that cuz the chrome plastic was all faded on the bezels and grill. thats with very little prep too, cuz i was experimenting with it to see how it would turn out. i definitely really like the all black front now. the new turn signal assemblies make it alot better too cuz everyones is usually real faded and nasty lookin. lot of ppl ask if they euro headlights, but they are just the stock replacements.

nah the diesel k30 is no longer, no money or time for 2 money pits haha. i was gona post more pics with some little updates on everything, but the batteries died in the camera.

i did take the k5 to a couple local car shows for sh!ts and giggles, and the truck got way more attention than the old muscle cars, and many of the other owners were crowded around the k5. a couple hot girls were posing in front of it while their bf's took pics, and one of them was like "i love this truck" haha. im sure the guys drive hondas with fart-cans. unfortunately i was a ways away and was talkin to a guy bout a yenko 427 camaro so i didnt get to intercept the girls...next time for sure haha. i was hoping someone would try to offer a trade for one of the sweet muscle cars there haha but i guess they know these trucks aint worth much:haha::doah:

thanks man, yea i wish i coulda kept it, but it was that or get rid of the k5, and the k5 being the first truck i ever bought, i had a bit of emotional attachment and just couldnt do it. the k30 wasnt without its issues, if it had been in as good of shape as my k5 (had a good amount of rust that needed major addressing, and the frame had been cracked by the previous owner and patched), i probably woulda kept it. it was definitely going to need a new motor soon, and while i did have a complete GM8 turbo setup, as well as a diesel 4L80E (probably needed a rebuild) with all the computers and wiring harnesses, in the end it all that woulda cost way more than i could really afford to put into it.

at some point i will get another k30 for sure, its just a matter of time. being in college and having bills to pay and such makes it hard to keep multiple toys:doah:

ill get some more pics of the k5 tomorrow, i havent posted any of it in long time

thanks, its got lifted 52's up front, stock 64's with a couple extra leafs and a ez-inch for about 7" lift and 42's. the wheel base is about 113".

well because the axles are moved out 3.5" each direction, i havent had any issues yet. the front still needs some more trimming. ive cut the pass front, but not the driverside. i need to clearance the bumper some, but im holding off til i decide if i wana stick with this setup, or go to the bumper center with b52's built in, cuz i kinda want a bigger stinger and have it a little closer to truck, but we'll see.
