Official 4x4 pic thread

here is mine...doing X-over with hydraulic assist at the moment, then comes 5.13's with lockers and a trac bar. And the buggy is a buddy of mine that we are almost done with.

Here is the current status of mine. The whole drivetrain is done, other than needing a rear driveshaft. Need the finish the interior "dash, cage, mount seats" and run my new wireharness. Waiting on the 39.5 Pitbull rocker to be released. And finally finish painting it camo.

Gee,that looks like it must have come from new england!....oh well,no worries about body rot!

I scrapped a 71 suburban 4x4 years ago,and cut it down the same as your truck in the picture--nothing but the firewall, pedals, and about a foot of the floor were the only sheet metal on it,and a 5 gallon pail for a seat!I drove it into the street, and did an awsome 4wd burnout with it! Then I stepped on the brakes, but the harder I pushed on the pedal, the further away the firewall folded toward the motor, until the brake pedal was too far away to reach with my foot!--I aimed for a retaining wall in the yard made of 2x4 foot solid concrete blocks, and drove it up on them, the motor screaming at 6000 rpm's!--I had to reach over and yank out several plug wires out of the distributor cap before I finally found the coil wire and pulled it out and stalled it!--(got shocked in more ways than one! :eek1: :doah: )...my dad screamed at me to "Cut that damm thing up before you get killed!"...so,that was my 71 K10 'burbs' last ride.. :frown1:--sure was exciting though!

Looks like you have plenty of open space to drive your buggy around!---I wish I could see a feild that huge here anymore--all the ones that used to be here are full of condos and yuppie castles now.. :frown1:

random photos of shop toys I get to play all day.

Yep, it's great. After our house was built, a zoning ordinance was passed that nobody can build anything within about 2 miles of our house unless they own at least 60 joined acres (some type of wetlands/flood plain deal  ). Only one farmer owns all the ground around us and he already has a nice house on the high ground, so I'll never have neighbors! :saweet:

Got to play in the snow a bit this weekend....didn't get to many pics though.

If any of you have any cool action shots, keep in mind that we are going to start collecting HQ pics for the 2006 "Rigs of CK5" calendar sometime in June/early July.......

That makes me want to get my 4wd finished and go wheel, maybe for 2007!

OK heres mine. Its the latest pic I have. Nothing has changed since November, but still a project, not complete yet. Ill answer all the "poser?" questions now. When I wheeled it, no one took pics of me, since then I dont have much time and its gotten to the state where, I dont want to wheel it anymore. But lately I REALLY want to buy a CUCV, taper it and wheel it, so those are the next plans, after I get some of that green stuff.
