Installed Offroad Design polyurethane body mount kit, bolts & nuts loosely installed.

Radiator core support is not on the frame at this time.

How do I line up the body on frame from start without shims?

What measuring points do you use?

When or how will I know I need a shim in a certain location?

Thank you

When I installed ORD 1" body lift and poly bushings on my crew cab pick up I just used my eyecrometer to make the the cab lined up with the bed. If your square body is a blazer then it will be hard to tell what is level or not because of suspension variables. The only time I think you will know when to add a shim is if there is any clearance issues between body, and other things like brake cables or radiator hoses.

My truck with 9" suspension lift, and 1" body lift.

Is this a frame off fresh build? Otherwise use the shims there were there. Like above, “eyecrometer” works fine. When I did my blazer, I lifted one side at a time. Measured fender opening to frame, tickle it close, lock it down. :waytogo:

Fender to door gaps & hood to fender gaps, will be the only visual indication...

Have to shim the front cab mounts & radiator support mounts to get those gaps visually right.

A 6' level on the body would help level it from side to side.

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but what flares are these? Love the way they look.

These flares came with the truck when I bought them, but I believe they are made by a company called Bushwacker.

shouldn't both sides from frame to body be equal on both sides?20230704_090351_resized_1.jpg

Yes, it should be equal from the frame to body on each side. The body mount frame bracket holes should have wiggle room to adjust where the body sits on the frame.

I’ve had to, adjust, the body before to get it to fit to the frame. For the record, use a come-a-long. Trying to shove it with your shoulder just hurts.
