So I went to Pismo Dunes this weekend with a bunch of friends to go playing with my blazer and dirtbikes and it ended with a rescue for some poor kids who were not wearing there seat belts. It was about midnight when we decided to take my blazer out for a night run, we only made it about a mile back into the dunes and were just starting down a large dune when we heard this loud crashing sound. We looked over to our left and saw this red GMC rolling down the dune, it had rolled only a couple of times when we saw a kid come flying out of the passenger window and landed in the sand about 80 feet in front of us. The truck rolled a couple more times and stopped half way down the dune and came to a stop on the drivers side. I raced my blazer over to the truck and parked it up against it so it couldnt roll anymore. We all hopped out and by this time the kid who got ejected was standing saying he was fine. We ran over to the truck and could see a leg sticking out from under the drivers side door, I looked in from the passenger side and could see someone trapped half under the truck with his other leg almost behind his head. Because of the way the truck was sitting we decided we had to get him out from under it. We started digging the sand out around him under the drivers side to relieve the pressure, thankfully a bunch of other people had shown up and we all together pushed up on the truck and gently pulled the kid out from under it making sure to support his neck and back. He was awake and in a lot of pain, luckily the paramedics showed up a few minutes later and took over.

Glad you helped tham and glad you had the smarts to make sure the truck stopped rolling.

that's crazy. there wasn't any drinking involved was there??? they were lucky you guys showed up

I'm not sure if they had been drinking but they should have been wearing their seatbelts.

here are some thumbnails, I think the person in the third photo was the kid who got ejected. (read what it says on the magazine in his hand)

They are damn lucky. Is that a pool of blood under that drivers door?

Floor mat. They are very lucky y'all were there. And that was very smart to park your rig against his. it would just suck to get smashed trying to help someone else get unsmashed.

And yes, I did laugh when I saw the mag. Funny

that's freakin ironic right there :doah: (i'm the first one to say that, right?:haha:)

sucks to be them ...shame about the truck

exactly what i was thinking. looks like they were just trying to add some chlorine to the gene pool, but did they have to clean out the motor pool, too? the senseless killing of nice trucks makes me sad

Just found out the other day that the kid we pulled out from the truck died. I guess he ended up dying from a blood clot:(. KEEP YOUR SEATBELT ON WHEN WHEELING!!!
