Offset U-Joints???

they allow extra clearance out of your pinion Ujoint so your ujoint cap doesnt hit the pinion nut at full flex.
 
They are offset tom woods superflex u-joints. They are 1 way to help a bad pinion angle. They will vibrate around 15 mph.

Pretty much, yes. You could run them in the front if you have selectable hubs.

Get steel axle shims rather than aluminum, the aluminum ones have a habit of failing (cracking, etc.)
